Go Pro Mic Audio

Ok folks, just did a quick test with the the Audio Technica ATR3350iS Onmidirectional Lavalier mic that just arrived. Noticed in premier pro and headphones that all my audio is in the right channel only ?

I am using what I think is a 10 pin (as advertised on ebay) USB mic adapter then into the single input on my mic.

Is it likely to be a fault or the wrong mic adapter ? can I split the right channel in post prod using adobe Premier pro ?

Thanks in advance, first time using a mic.

Cheers

Just read this on the site for the mic:
  • Dual-mono 1/8" output plug connects to a video camera, DSLR, or handheld audio recorder's stereo 1/8" input, to record audio on both left and right channels
I assume I may have to buy a digital audio recorder to make use of stereo.

.... As I type this worked out how to split the duel mono into stereo or more so duplicate the right channel to the left for now until I get a recorder.

Its probably your mic adapter. I have the same mic and multiple adapters. The gopro brand one comes through in stereo, but one of my cheap right angle ones has a garbled left channel.

Thanks for that, I thought that may have been the case. I split the audio in Premier for now. Ill get a recorder at some point and that should solve that problem.

Cheers

In the interim you could duplicate the audio to both channels using an app such as audacity (still free as far as I know)
