Re: Question for Motovloggers

Can't watch vloggers who don't wear gear, makes me shiver! wear at least a jacket and i may sub!

Re: Question for Motovloggers

You look like you should be in GTA, and you have just changed the camera angle on your gameplay,

As Curly said please where a Jacket (at a minimum). Ride Safe

Re: Question for Motovloggers

A Jacket and a good helmet. Honestly, for me at least, HJC doesn't make good helmets. anything Icon and up will do for me.

Re: Question for Motovloggers

dam who shoved a stick up all your guys's butts lol

iv only got two friends im willing to share my videos with, none of my family or any of the other friends know i even do it

Re: Question for Motovloggers

I do not like to share my videos with friends or family. It's weird that I would rather share with people I have never met before. But its great to finally meet these people you've talked to online for a while, because it's like you know them pretty well. I have a few friends that have come across my videos on YouTube, and a couple that actually follow me. It was weird at first, but I don't mind anymore. I still don't think my mom knows exactly what I do, even though she knows I have a helmet camera, and about the Google Adsense program. And my mom knows that I watch people who ride motorcycles and do commentary...maybe she is smarter than I and actually knows exactly what I do (haha). I still don't feel comfortable sharing my videos with friends and family; but if they come across them, so be it. I just won't go out of my way to let them know about my hobby.

Re: Question for Motovloggers

I motovlog specifically so that my family can watch. You see, living 10.000 miles away from them, it helps to keep in touch :) They all know what I do and they watch my videos regularly.

It only happened to them once, how where they to know what she was about to do :)

(I have a feeling that probably breaks a forum rule somewhere)

Re: Question for Motovloggers

I think a few of my friends are aware of my vlogs. No one has really said anything about them to me yet though. I don't think I would really mind either way. It's just something I do for fun. It is really cool to be able to meet and talk to a bunch of people that share the same interest with you. Plus one of my favorite parts about watching vlogs is I can see people from all over the world. Watching people vlog in Europe makes me dizzy sometimes. YOU GUYS ARE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!!!!

Re: Question for Motovloggers

I hate knowing that my dad and grandad look at some of my video's I feel like my riding is under scrutiny all the time

The state police in my state wear less "gear" than the OP! They wear a half helmet and their standard short sleeve button up uniform shirt and fingerless gloves.

My take on it is that motorcycles are machines that need to be respected, if no gear is worn then that person has no respect for the danger that comes with riding a motorcycle, I am sick to death with people telling me how dangerous motorcycles are, but the simple fact is most people who get injured are not wearing full gear.

Video About Gear

In response to the comments that took over my other thread, here's a video I did awhile ago regarding gear. I'm sure I'll take flack for it, but we're all entitled to our opinions. I just hope you don't let yours cloud your view of the content presented.

Re: Question for Motovloggers

Thanks to everyone who responded to the video--quite the novel concept!

In response to everyone talking about gear, thanks for the concern. I think everyone is entitled to their opinion on it. Rather than type out my explanation (or have my kid type it out for me), here's a video I posted a while ago about the very topic that I started a different thread for to allow that conversation to continue elsewhere. I understand the view of ATGATT, but just because we may not see eye to eye on one thing doesn't change the content of the original video or what the intended subject was. I've logged just under 100,000 miles in the 30 years I've been doing this and while that doesn't exempt me from the "rule," it does give me comfort in my decision.

One thing i will say..

Hilarious Outro song. :P

+1 to that, I'm glad you made a response to what people have asked most riders will just comment where they can hide behind their screens, but glad you made it makes sense but you can come off a crusier just as easy as a sports bike or anyother (In my opinion) Ride Safe

Re: Video About Gear

I ride with full gear all the time, i don't push myself or my bike to my limits, i ride quite defensively because I know at any moment i could go down, it could be my fault it could be something unexpected. Everyone is likely to go down at some point and if you don't wear gear you risk getting seriously injured, you won't be able to enjoy a bike anymore if you are in a wheelchair or have lost half your skin. If you think you won't ever go down because you don't plan on going down i think you have lost touch with reality, because im pretty sure nobody plans on going down.

Re: Video About Gear

Its common sense that when you do something with a risk you take precautions to stay as safe as possible.

All it takes is an old woman who shouldn't be on the road to begin with pulling out on you and gear can be the difference between life and death...

I ride a sports bike. I barely ever "push" the bike as you mention in your video, but I still wear all my gear. Why? Because if I come off even at 30mph its still going to hurt.
I've scraped along the floor too many times already, and thank christ I was in my gear each time. Each time I was riding normally. Each time I wasn't planning on coming off.
