Found this when on preride check...eek

My last set of PR3's I got nearly 4,000 mile's of mountain riding out of, over the rather wet winter we just had in the UK..,. not bad really.
Michelin say 20% more wear on the PR4, I'll let you know how they wear when I get get back from the Alps next month.

Yes, it was a really wet, winter. In fact I could count on one hand the dry commute days I had between October and March. Constant predictable grip regardless of conditions. I used to ride on Avon Storms, then the PR3 came. Brilliant tyre. BMW are putting PR4's on some of their new bikes that should tell you something. Try them, neutral, confidence inspiring.... mojo feeding ;)

4000? thats not bad. And they are grippy enough for wet/cold/crappy situations?
Depends on how you ride. If a set of PR3s only got me 8000 miles I'd be a bit irritated, if it only lasted 4000 miles I'd be furious. My last set lasted 12k miles. I don't ride as hard as he tends to though, but I do beat on them pretty hard from time to time. They are phenomenal tires and require very little to get up to running temps. Come to think of it, I never worry about it. I just get on and start going. The end-of-life characteristics are nice too. Even when they're going bald they slip just enough to say "Hey, I'm done.." but they still have a surprising amount of grip. The only time I've had one slip on me outside of being past the wear limit was on a cold, dusty blacktop road that doesn't get much traffic while going around a bend over the crest of a hill. Can't really expect much from a tire in that situation anyway though.

I just plopped a set of Michelin Pilot Power's on to replace my Pilot Road's. They're a different kind of tyre, slightly more sporty so ideal for summer. Much lighter and a bit softer, same price though so I thought I'd give them a go. They're a bit more budget than the PR3 and 4 but I couldn't stretch!

Damn man you dont have look do you, just check the valve isnt leaking, if it continues, try see if they do a tube for it
