Hi guys, I finaly managed to make a decent quality video (in terms of sound and video) and I would apreciate if you can give me some feedback so I can improve my content. So here it goes guys, this is my first attempt, I was nervous as hell and need to relax a bit more :).

p.s. If it is not posted where it should, please feel free to move the thread in its rightful place.

I'd suggest working on your confidence and getting the audio levels right before making videos offering tips and advice. This was very hard to hear in places, I think as your confidence improves your audio clarity will also so you may not need to move the microphone. Maybe it is worth just vlogging a ride and chatting to the camera about random stuff before trying to focus on a specific subject? :-) Nice bike by the way! :-)

I'll probably remake that one in the future, its easier for me to talk about a specific topic than talking random stuff. And yeah my convidence level need to improve a lot and not being a native speaker doesn't help either :). As for the microphone I believe i need to move it. This one was recorded with a xoom h1 and I still need to figrure stuff out :). THank you very much for the feedback. I expected it to be a rough start, so I'll focus on less important topics on the other videos.

I'm no expert mate, so take any "tips" I offer with a pinch of salt. With English being your second language you did incredibly well... I struggle to order a beer outside of my native tongue! :D

I'm still new to motovlogging so I'm in no position to judge. I only have a few points of advice. I would color correct your footage if possible. The whites look a little hot, but that also could be from Youtube's compression.

Add text and graphics to underscore your points. That's not a requirement, and don't feel compelled to do it if it's not your style.

Give a little background on your riding experience if you want to give advice on safety, or visually demonstrate what you're discussing, like the idea of making yourself visible while on the road.

In your title - Riding a motorcycle - Beginers tips -- Beginners is spelled with 2 ns. That should be an easy fix. I'm a terrible speller myself, and my guess is English isn't your first language, but I just wanted to point that out.

Keep posting and welcome the the motovlogging world.

Hi bro!! good video for new motovlogger im also new. in my opinion your audio needs some hotfixes and you will be ready! Cheers!! :)

I like what you have to say.

Experiment with putting the mic in a different place, might be as simple as that.

Regarding confidence and non native English speaking. Speak to yourself in English while riding even if you dont record. This will make it a habit.
If you struggle with this, try saying what you are doing. Example is "I'm joining the highway here, just checking my mirrors. Check blind spot". This will make speaking a habit and you will just naturally become more comfortable.

Dont be shy. Just remember that you can only get better from here.

I used to worry about what other drivers would think if they saw me speaking to myself, dont worry. I dont think you realize how many people speak to themselves while driving cars or they sing, hahaha.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll experiment with the mic. In the video it was with a deadcat and placed near my right cheekpad. I tried it near the left and it still sounds muffled and bassy. I'm recording it with a Zoom H1 external recorder. I've placed it infront of my mouth (with a foam guard) today, but still haven't checked out how the recording is going to be.

From what I've read, in front of your mouth is going to be the clearest audio. How'd things go?

Audio seemed a lot clearer with headphones, but it will take a few days before I record another video. Bike is out of service at the moment, but I'll hopefully put it together today (more on that in the next video :D)

I addressed most of the issues you guys pointed out so the out should be way better now :). Its clipping a bit as i set the input on my recorder way to high and not the best wind noise protection.... Anyways, we can't improve if we don't fck up.

I listened to your Motovlog 1 and Motovlog 2.
Audio in Motovlog 2 is much better, you can hear the bike more and your voice better.

You still have some wind noise, but its not bad at all to be honest.

Great progress dude!

Motovlog 2 is city riding after all :). The "MV2" video is actually the first one I've made I just wasn't happy with it and decided to re-edit the whole audio and play with EQ quite a bit. I'll find the proper setup sooner or later.
