Hey,
As some have read here, I've been pretty impressed with the Sony Action Cam, but a few days ago I came across my first fail with it
. It seems like during the cooler weather, it likes to work like a champ but now that it's hot... the camera has a safety feature to turn off when it gets too hot, which is 104°F
. When it's 95°F+ out there with the sun beating down, no good
.....
I've put electrical tape all over the waterproof case to try to keep the sun from hitting the camera (albeit black tape, since I have a black helmet... white would make more sense) which seems like it's made the camera last quite a bit longer. Still, a little bit of a disappointment
.
A note though... I have the first generation model - the AS10. They could have improved them since now that there is a second or even third generation (I think - I went the cheap way and got an older one off of ebay
~). So who knows...
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can cool this thing down besides turning it off while riding :/ ???
Thanks for reading & the advice in advance ^_^ !!!
