On my model, backfires are usually a loose or worn gasket between the pipes and the engine.

Yup and that's would be nice :D

Looking very good. Keep going. Wish i could create like this.
Of course you can do it, but things like this would not be a good impact on your bike ( unless you install flame thrower kit ) :D

This week alone, I have seen many conversations of key-banging and backfiring.

Happen to have another rider in my video surprising me with a key-bang yesterday.

Reaction was Whoaaaaaaa.

Looking at your picture, if I was there. I would of had the same reaction.

Wouldn't happen if the bike runs too lean due to a problem on the intake side. There are basically three types.

1. Aftermarket can without proper rejetting/remapping means unburnt fuel/gas gets sucked out of the cylinder and explodes in the exhaust.
2. Bike runs too rich, unburnt fuel explodes in the exhaust.
3. Leak on the exhaust side, creating explodable mix in the exhaust which wouldn't happen if properly sealed.

I'm still watching guys ... :) . i can't edit the first page so i reupload the pics and post it again on this reply
