Enough with the ads already!

Anyone else getting tired of YouTube mid video ads?

They used to be just one but now there are like one every couple of minutes. It has gotten to be too many and really ruins the viewing experience because the ad takes the viewer out of the moment you have created in the video.

I have seen numerous creators both big and small make a scene or tell a story to capture the viewers attention and then BAM - a mid-roll ad plays.

I have kept mid-roll ads out of 98% of my videos thank goodness. Those that I did allow I went on and placed the breaks manually.

So what do you think? Are there too many ads during the videos you watch? Is YouTube coming off as too desperate with all of this? Are they taking too much advantage when you opt in to a mid-roll ad on your video?

I haven't really been bothered by ads on YT videos, but the sponsored segments get me.

For my own videos, I have left the ads on default, so whatever YT thinks is best... and nobody has said anything to me about it. None of my stats have changed appreciably, except AVD is up somewhat.

It's pretty bad for couple of years now. What bothers me most currently, is when ads end and immediately you get another set of ads. Like, the base video flashes before your eyes for fraction of a second and you see next set of ads.
