Editing Software Gopro Hero 4

Have been following along with the threads in the forums. I've been trying to figure out what software to use for editing. It sounds like Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere are the higher end options. I looked at the price of Sony Vegas and its like $500 and Adobe Premiere is $19/mo subscription. Staying legal, is this really the cost that vloggers are paying or am I missing something? Seems like the better deal is to use Adobe Premiere and maybe pay the $29/mo to use everything.

I use windows movie maker, lol. It's not the best, but it gets the job done right now. I also liked using LightWorks. It's free and has a lot of options. My current computer doesn't like running it, though, so I'm stuck with WMM at the moment.

Not all vloggers got theirs through official channels...

However, if you dont mind a version or two back, I hear Sony can be got on offer at amazon for under $100, ive heard £30 (~$50) as well.

I downloaded GoPro Studio and will also check out Windows Movie Maker. $100 for an older Sony sounds more like something I could handle. Was looking on Amazon and boy there are a lot of versions of everything on there.

I'm using the trial of Sony Movie Studio Platinum. It's the 'stripped down' version of Vegas Pro.
It seems to have all the required features that I need for editing, as well as most of the useful ones from Vegas.
For price, the current version is ~£50. Not sure of US price

Would you happen to have a link to Sony Vegas Pro 10 for $50?

I've seen Sony Movie Studio but wasn't sure what it was.

Thanks anyways. Used to think I was good at finding things like this on Amazon but no luck at all so far. Will check out the trial versions and try to decide.

Staying legal I would stick with Premier. The community is much bigger and their subscription based pricing rocks. Nice that they finally figured out a reasonable licensing program.

I use Blender. It's open source and seems pretty powerful.
