You guys must be rather new. 8-)

To motovloging no.. I have seen this set up for years and find it to be uncomfortable and annoying when I tried it personally. Plus I like my teeth, be like that guy who had his knocked out when he crashed. Only thing going in my helmet is my head and mic.

I agree. Helmets are tested for all sorts of impacts (area and point loads) on the outside... but theyre not designed for anything on the inside. If you can afford a motorcycle, you can afford a camera and mic to go on the outside. If not, buy a cheaper bike.

This would have been fine a few years ago, but theres better options than shoving a camera in your face these days.

Better is a relative term. What's better for you may not be better for someone else. Simply hitting record and placing a very small camera in your helmet that doesn't block your vision is a sweet and simple setup. Of course, I don't do that. Also, we have to wire microphones and find a mounting surface and getting the angle right before we can start recording. Better...if meaning out of your way...then yeah. But if better as is less hassle...then I wouldn't say so.

This discussion has been had many times, I've realized. But yes, I do prefer my setup, and I'm sure Matt prefers his setup for the meantime. And yes, we all know helmets weren't designed cameras to be shoved inside them or they don't perform their greatest with something else in them, or even attached to the outside.

could not disagree with you what so ever. Personally I would find it uncomfortable to have a camera inside your helmet, plus it being a distraction if it moves around.
