Serious Dropped. Had To Happen At Some Point.

Two fairings need replacing and the fairing bolt. The engine case is damaged but everything is still functional. The clutch lever needs replacing but can be used for now.

A combination of factors, the road is slow, uphill and slightly off camber but it also has years of rubber, diesel and oil worked into the surface, the worst of which is from the bus service which runs along there. The road has very little grip and on that day there wasn't enough to get the bike around the corner.

That makes sense. It looked like you were looking through the turn and the bike just went out from under you. That would explain why.

Good to see you are ok. If that is to happen, glad it happened on low speed turn. Im hell scared that will come off one day... Not scared of coming off, scared of coming off in a wrong time in a wrong place...!

That sucks I'm guessing being near the beach the sand blows onto that bit as well just to add to the lack of grip ..glad you're ok

glad your ok and bike im sure is fine. i have layed my bike now twice. once going around a blind turn doing 35 and came up on a stop sign i did not know about and just hit the breaks and lost it. other was on the highway doing 60 and all the cars around me slammed on the breaks and i swerved between 2 cars and lost it with out hitting anyone. i still ride the same bike now and im ok. i was fully gear both times. i was lucky

Ouch. Good thing that there were no oncoming cars and you were going at slow speeds. I've dropped mine twice playing around in the snow moving less than 5mph. It's a humbling experience : (

Thanks for the messages guys they're all appreciated greatly. It's not nice to come off but this is the way I'd rather it happen if it's going to. much less painful than it could have been.

Glad you're ok. That was one of the slowest lowsides I have seen ever. Doesn't sound like to much damage either.

Just watched it again...I was down there on Sunday and it was awful....your right about the oil and the fact that road gets hammered by every type of vehicle!
I was following an Audi TT down the hill and i've never gone so slow in my life, its like he was scared of it haha! Its in my latest Vlogm actually if you wanted to have a look, i ride through Redcar, Markse, Saltburn etc!
We'll have to get for a run out soon, not that I'll be able to keep up with ya on my 550cc Bobber lol!
