Drift velcro or sticky?

Hey guys very quick question,

On your helmets do you use the velcro or the sticky pad? Not sure if id trust the velcro as i dont really want my camera flying off haha

I use the sticky pad on my helmet, but i think the velcro would still be fine. I put the velcro one on my front guard and the cam never bounced off. The footage was terrible though.

I use velcro on my helmet in all my videos. I've reached almost 200kph without camera flying off.

I got tired of the foam sticky tape stuff coming off after 8 months of all weather use, so I grabbed some gorilla glue and made damn sure that bitch aint comin off again. It's a little over kill, sure, but I know that it's gonna hold till the end of time.

I use 3M multilock, it's like hench velcro, so it feels very secure but I can still mount and dismount the whole arrangement

Can you guys give me a hint what that 3M multilock is (picture maybe?)? I was trying to google it... but I failed.

The stuff I have looks like that. some places call it a Dual lock, I got mine of the net so it claims to be 3M multilock but may well be not. CurlyBlakey might have something different. However mine is dead secure to my helmet and takes rather alot of force to pull the mount off so I'm confident it isnt going to come off when riding.

The velcro seems to be holding up well at the moment, mainly cos my 125 wont go as fast to pull it off

Don't be worried. If it will fly off, it will be just your fault at placing the camera incorrectly The velcro holds with it's teeth and nails.

Just grab the helmet by the fixed camera and pull it up few times. Does it hold? Let's ride! Simple as that.

that's not that acurate a test xD mine detaches if I do that, but it's held at over 100mph in the rain

I used Velcro on the Drift HD170 Stealth for a good year +

I recently got the Icon variant and the Drift Ghost. i use the Perm Fixed mount now.

Velcro is strong enough for around 200KPH.

ONLY IF you have secured it on correctly
