You could use a Y splitter and an extension audio cord to your helmet, but then you would have a physical cable running between the two of you. It would be a little awkward when getting on and off the bike. You'd have to remember to disconnect from one another, or it might make for a funny video....

thats what i was thinking but i didn't know if the drift would support the audio coming threw the splitter. we have sena bluetooth and i tryed putting the mic by her speaker but it just wouldn't pick my voice up very well. it picked hers up just fine though. we even had the blue tooth turned all the way up.

Yeah, I have the chatterbox and only if the thing is up loud does it come through on my camera mic.

The only thing I would see as a problem recording with the audio splitter would be if both of you talked at the same time. The camera should not care about which audio signal it is receiving and the impedance shouldn't have much effect on the gain.

thanks man ill give it a try it is a pretty cheap fix cause my next option was vid-in-vid which we plan on doing later down the road. just not affordable yet. But def the end goal.

Once both of you have a camera, the PIP video will be kind of cool. It will take a little more editing, but the end result will be unique and interesting.

Figure Radio Shack carries all that audio cables and stuff that you should be able to get enough cord and a second mic. You can have your passenger plug you in before you head out...figure the mic and cable would be under $20. Not too bad for testing purposes and worst case scenario you can return it and wait until you get two cameras...

How does the headset connect to the Sena? On my bluetooth headset, it connects with a regular 3.5mm jack. I haven't tested it, but I think I can use a splitter to connect the headset to both the headset box, and the Drift camera. Then, audio coming over the bluetooth (i.e., other connected intercom) and audio from my mic would both be played in. Though you may have double wind noise. I can always hear a little (not much) wind noise in my helmet speakers when connected to my wifes helmet via bluetooth! We feed each others wind noise!
