Check out my latest vid on my site http://www.whitegixer.com on the Drift HD 1080 Test Vlog on Gixer - you'll see (or rather hear) the issue.
My external mic is set in the right hand cheek pad of my lid but is crap. My can ain't stupid loud and the mic sensitivity is set at the level with 1 green line. I'm using the latest Drift HD 1080 set on 1080, 25fps, 60Hz in SUN level setting and has the latest firmware update.
If I can't resolve this, my VLOGS are gonna have to have the audio put on after I've done em, which aint ideal.
Also, some of the footage is reading 'this file is not a movie file' when I try to open them on my laptop, even after I have copied them to my HD. Obviously I can't be taking my lid off everytime I stop/start the cam but there seems to be a recording issue with the cam - whether this is a technical/cam issue that can/can't be sorted and needs sending back... I have it on load from DRIFT though with the intention of reviewing it so I don't really want to have to send it back if I don't need to.
I did have some issues previously that were sorted out with a firmware update but seen as how I have the latest one on, it can't be anything to do with that.
Any help you guys can offer will be gratefully appreciated.
I am a it gutted as some of the vid I did was good and it hasn't captured.
