Drift HD Glare

Pointing straight into the sun like that will almost always cause a glare.

Here's a few things you can try to make it a little bit better.
1. Raise the camera. Its pointing down too much and when it goes from pointing at the street to pointing at the sun the camera is having trouble getting the right exposure. If you point it up more it should be able to correct the exposure a little better.

2. Try to get it pointed away from your helmet. The black helmet will also throw off the exposure. Try to mount it further forward so you don't have so much of the helmet in the frame. I actually use a GoPro mount and a Drift adapter so I can pivot it out away from my helmet so I get none of my helmet in frame. That has helped the exposure a lot.

Hope this helps!

Cheers, I've sorted the alignment of the camera now after that shot but unfortunately that seems to be the only place I can put it on the helmet, there are too much lips and cutouts that would make it a bit sketchy.

Right here.

It's a bit of a pain because if you bump it you can accidentally screw up your angle but after a while you get a feel for how far out it should pivot. It skews the perspective a bit but I like it more than a helmet taking up a big chunk of the frame.

I already had GoPro mounts all over my bike so this way I don't have to remove them and replace them with Drift mounts and I can easily switch between GoPros and Drifts on the different mounting points. If you don't have a GoPro then this might not seem worth the cost and effort since you would have to pay for this plus the GoPro adhesive mounts.

I've got 2 of the older SD GoPros, and I've got several mounts already. I've actually got a project coming up that's going to require the use of several cameras, mostly GoPros, but I'd like to be able to use Drifts as well. Right now it looks like there's going to be about 5 cameras hanging off the bike at once. Should be pretty sweet. :)

Thanks for the link. I had no idea such a contraption existed.
