General Drift Ghost Hd 720p @ 60fps Testing Results

Testing the Drift HD Ghost at 60fps (720p), let me know what ya think and remember to change the default player settings to 720 60fps!!!!

Silky smooth. I don't think the quality of the HD Drift at 720p is all it could be, especially at 60fps, and mentioned that to Drift when my camera went in.

If you upgrade the firmware to 2.4.4.0 it does have a night/low light mode, although it may sacrifice frame rates to ensure enough light comes in to the camera.

Addendum: Upgrading to 2.4.4.0 was when I got my audio issue, I now have a copy of the previous version if you or anyone else needs it.

I have the latest Firmware on it, all the night mode does is add a crappy noise reduction, make little to no difference. Not like the S that has a much better night mode.

Frame rate seems to be solid, just not a fan of drift. Good quality...

Yea Id love a top of the line GoPro but dont like the telly tubby look if mounted on top and sticks up to far on the side. So chin mount is yay but damages the helmet. Wish they would make a bullet style one.

Plus ya can get this Drift dirt cheap if you look around.

I'm going to upload some night footage from my Ghost S soon, I'll post the link in the videos section. I did set it to full monty framerate and bitrate, just changed the light mode, and it is grainy and has noise, so if I get out again in the evening, I'll drop it to 30fps and see if that does it, although I think the Drifts will limit the frame rate depending on what it is seeing. Hard to tell if it was recording in 60fps from the initial footage, it maybe that it doubles up the frames to keep the "rate" so to speak.

Totally agree.....in videos with lots of action/movement, such as motorcycle videos, it is much more important de FPS than the resolution.

I prefer 720p/60 FPS than 1080p/30FPS

Best thing though is 1080p/60FPS ........ hopefully soon 120FPS

yeah no one told me youtube could do 60fps now. just found out the other day. im going to do all my videos at 60fps now.
