Do You Post Your Videos On Reddit?

Something needs to be done. The self promotion rule is bullshit. If I make a gif of part of my vid put that link the original video in the comments its fine.

Think I need another account.

In their defence i dont like 95% of the motovloggers out there.

Truth, but why not let the voting system take care of the crap and let the good videos shine? I just wish there was a little more interaction at /r/motovlog. I could care less about posting on /r/moto

If this forum suddenly disappeared with a redirect to r/motovlog instead, and the sub got the management from here. Then maybe it would be active enough to survive.

True. I guess the problem would be the straight up spammers who post their videos and walk away. That's one thing I like about how this site is set up. I wish more people knew about it.

Apparently if you have 1 arm the rules don't apply to you: https://www.reddit.com/user/CG_Ops/submitted/

I'm not talking shit about the person or anything at all...I just noticed this video today and was curious. Looked at his post history and he's posted 6 videos and 1 photo that was his own in the past 3 months with only 6 other submissions to /r/moto that were discussion (one of them being a good job welcome new mods post). Seems someone is getting some special treatment.

Promoting yourself in any community is brutally hard these days. This is why there is so much click bait out there. "Motorcycle nearly dies", "Huge crash", "Must Watch".

It doesn't help when everyone in the community is standing on a soap box screaming look at me.

Eh...I digress. If you avoid European or American motorcycle communities you'd probably do fine. Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia is booming in sharing content with almost none of the bashing or hate because it's motorcycles have a long standing history of enthusiasm here, but internet content is new. People legitimately enjoy watching and sharing and contributing and discussing.

Also I kind of get the feeling that the mindset of many American motorcycle communities is that they are trying very hard to punch their way up into the limelight, to be the one true unique content creator, the special snowflake, because of this very individualistic culture, that if they cannot take the limelight from someone else, they will instead put them down. Since the limelight can only ever shine on a few, to be realistic.

That's why I started targeting Facebook where I can focus on appealing to SEA audiences, instead of Reddit or Twitter, which is mostly American. The market is just not there in the US anymore guys, time to jump ship and learn a second or third language like Japanese or Spanish and focus on foreign audiences interested in your culture, instead of your own people who are probably sick of the same shit by now.

Because then it would be a spam fest...

r/Motovlogging died because people post and leave. no one looks at the other content out there.

Fuck you reddit.

I wonder if we could band together and start a worthwhile alternative to r/motovlog on reddit.

If you hoon around and do hoodrat shit r/calamariraceteam won't delete anything haha or post stupid drivers and or wrecks.

I dont want to promote, but we do have an amino community which is nothing but motovloggers for the most part lol.

BTW I hate reddit, its internet AIDS...Cant say how many times I have been flamed for no reason.
It's internet fucking cancer. Redditors are the apocalypse. Hail Trump! (Because redditors hate him).

apart from reddit, what else is there on the internet?
Specific forums, like here, that have a section for motovlogs. Where the real adults hang out. I sometimes post on a local Singaporean forum too, but rarely, because there isn't a point since it's mostly dead as older riders retire, and the younger ones prefer Facebook.
