DJI Action 5 Pro

I have not found a real life test, but I did find stationary on table test, both models with the new battery. 4 got just over 2h, and 5 got almost 3h. So there is other difference hidden in the camera for sure.
edit: that was recording with 1080p30 and no motion before the lens, just aimed at some box.

That's about the simplest - and most effective - test one can do for repeatable results.

And, it confirms the 50% increase in battery life - even though the new battery only has what, 10 or 20% more capacity?

I'm also pretty sure static tests like that are what damaged my Hero 9 as the camera gets way too hot when there is no airflow... is an action camera after all! :-D

Ouch! I've overheated almost all my GoPros, including static testing, and they didn't suffer any lasting damage.

Rumoured to be a DJI 360 coming out sometime in the future. Will be interested in that one for sure.
DJI do make great gear

I had the Insta X2 but got fed up with editing the 360 footage then editing it again into my videos. I believe it's a lot easier these days though?

Exactly. This is why I use Davinci Resolve and a plugin to reframe my 360 footage. I don't want to edit it twice either!

I don't think there are any editors that are able to use the instas interesting file format right off the card. You'd still have to go through the export, via their editor, to get it in to mp4
Many editors are able to handle 360° mp4 files though, so you can do the framing bit there, after you have exported.

Yep, I think you're 100% correct! I forgot that part in my comment above.

At least you can walk away while the app exports your 360 files into flat MP4s.
