That would only work if they did the same for likes, and since they'd end up getting a lot of flack from the authors for disliking videos it would put people off being honest.

If you have a hater, it means you having an effect on someone so you must be doing something right

no, I have about 11-12 likes and 1-2 almost every video. I get the feeling someone is just trolling me, or hates me lol

I've had the odd dislike, none justified as such because I don't have controversial content. The odd one I suppose is just someone who didn't enjoy it or came to watch thinking it was something else?

Anyway screw the dislikes, if you're getting steady views and good interaction on your vids, it's going fine. Look at the number of dislikes RJ has

Haha, Ghost, I've just gone through your videos to look at the dislike count and I think whoever it was got the message as there are 0 dislikes on them.

I have learned to ignore dislikes. They are usually people that don't have anything else to do but troll YouTubers and thumb down videos.

I don't get that many dislikes, but when I do, I wonder why that is. I had one dislike on one of my videos and the guy that gave me the dislike actually explained in the comments why he did it. This was pretty helpful and after I made the change in the video title (which seemed to be a little misleading) and told him in the comments, he changed his dislike into a like.
So I agree, it would be helpful if you knew why they disliked the video, but than nobody would like/dislike the video anymore, because it takes too much time.

There will always be someone who dislikes a video, if you enjoy putting your content up and you get some good feedback and interactions then to hell with them enjoy what you do!
