Dirty Secret Of Making Money On Your Videos???

i don't think you even have to talk about a product. i think you can just put a link I'm guessing maybe in a card and have it pop up in your video. at this time i don't feel like doing reviews on things.

Here's how it works. You sign up with Amazon to be a kind of commissioned sales agent called an Amazon associate. Once you get that account set up then you can get custom links for almost any product Amazon sells. When someone clicks on that link and orders the product, you get between 4-9% commission that is paid out every month (you have to hit a $10 threshold to get it deposited but if you don't one month then it just accumulates in your account).

Hope this helps y'all out a bit ;)

How do you paste the link in You Tube descriptions? you can't put html in youtube.

Sure you can!

Clint, for you...I was even thinking about pipes and whatnot...imagine the possibilities of lighters and such!

the sale is processed as normal, just that if they buy the item from using your link it will register a commission to you.
What I meant was, do they (Amazon/eBay) send you stuff (for free) to review, or do you need to first buy the stuff yourself and then review it.

Not about other people buying the stuff using your link.

You can link to anything they sell and you don't have to have purchased anything from them or have your video be a review. I link to gear I use that can be purchased on Amazon, toys for my boys, a fire extinguisher for my gas tank blow up video, or anything relevant to riding or what you are talking about. My pumpkin spice video I had linked to all kinds of crazy, nasty, pumpkin spice stuff and quite a few of those items sold ;). I'm not sure how their free products for review thing works but that's completely separate.

True. I must have phrased my question wrong. What I meant was when I tried to create a link, Amazon didn't give me a link, just some HTML to paste on a website. If you paste that html into the youtube description, it won't let you save it. I guess my real question was how to you get the actual link vs. the html?

You have to click on the "text" box and can choose a short link or a long one"

Glad to help out my fellow motovloggers...and whatever the feminine form of fellow is for the lady motovloggers. And when a few of you make enough to buy a new bike from the money made off this info, simply sign the title of your old ride over to me ;)
That's all I ask, and, yeah, I'll take your beer ;)

Anyone actually made some cash yet? I haven't really posted anything riding related in a few months due to a normal maintainence issue that resulted in the bike being down this entire time :(

Ive been trying to do this and had my app denied 3 times due to, "In reviewing your website, we noticed that the URL listed on your application is a social network website. However, your site is not an approved social network or established with enough unique content and followers yet. At this time, we are unable to approve your application and have closed the account under which you had been temporarily approved."

Any ideas?
