No problem, cheap enough, and they do work with all kinds of wildlife that race out in front of you otherwise. The animal will just stop and freeze, giving you that half second to save your skin. And yes, they have sticky pads, so you can put them under the fairing or anywhere they can get airflow. I just feel they are essential for night rides and deer infested areas... it's just a matter of stacking the odds in your favour.

Arkansas sounds a hell of a place to ride a bike, I bet the learning curve is steep lol

True, the animal will stop and freeze, and sometimes if not all the time, it is that half a second that can mean the difference between saving money from avoiding hitting the animal, to anticipating for the worse. In my opinion, you have to consider situational awareness when riding a motorcycle, like I had to do when I was in the Navy on board the USS Nimitz and being up on the flight deck during flight operations. That is how I ride a motorcycle, or even drive a car.

Yep, Arkansas is a hell of a place to ride, with a lot of twisties that are on the pig trail, but probably nothing compared to deal's gap, and the learning curve can be steep in my opinion for someone who does not know what you are doing, go too fast for the conditions, or if you are a squid when it comes to riding a motorcycle. In Fayetteville alone, there are so many damn hills in my opinion, that it is a "smaller version of San Francisco" . LOL
There is a reason that when the Arkansas Razorbacks Football Stadium is called "The Hill", because i think in order to get from the stadium to the university, you have to climb a hill. LOL

I remember when I was a kid, we had deer horns on our car and a deer ran out right in front of us .

Also, in all my years of driving, I only had one time where I actually had to swerve to miss a couple of deer. The rest, they are just stupid and run across the road down a ways. Nature of the beast, I guess .....

Yep, some deer are stupid. It is the nature of the beast, but then again, I think it is because of probably the expanding development to where their habitat is threatened by development.

Well it is good then that the Game and Parks Commission gave out unlimited deer hunting permits to thin out the population, but I think to really start thinning it out in my opinion is to try and stop them from having offspring.

Yep, it would probably be annoying to have with a shorty exhaust. It probably would wake up some of the brain dead drivers, but I wonder if it would make any matter to the deer, or if they would go towards the sound instead of away from it.

Not just deer, but opossums, raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, coyote, badgers, skunks, pheasants, other birds, frogs, turtles, toads, caterpillars (depending on the year)... a EN187 all-you-can-eat road-buffet delight !

Have you read this, I've been putting Deer whistles on my bike for years, only to find out now, that it's questionable that they work at all.
