Cops took my bike for 30 days for doing wheelies

We all run the gauntlet of doing stuff like this on the road

We most certainly do not all run the risk of doing stuff like that on the road, only the stupid (mostly licence or bike less) members amongst us do.

yeah I got caught today doing a wheelie by the cops.

First time in over 8 years. :shock:

im not even mad.

I have the footage taken from me, for the next 7 days, i should get it back next week..

So what happend !
Did a wheelie of a set of lights,
Didnt know partrol bike was a few hundred meters back, he came outa the side street and seen me wheeling away... So the Patrol bike chased me and impounded the bike for 30 days, total of around $1300.00 in fines, +$$$$ in potential court fees.

When i told the officer where i worked, He was no longer aggressive /agitated i stayed and talked about helmet cameras and wheelies etc untill his 265 arrived (265 being senior officer).

I have the footage ranging from the wheelie leading upto when i pulled over, the officer was quick to obtain the camera and cease recording ( understandable ) -

I will get the Micro SD card back within the next 7 days.

I wont know the outcome of this untill i am in court, imo it will be 30 days loss of licence,


Guess i just have to register the DRZ 400sm now...

next time carry a donut : )

I just want to say that there are plenty of other vids online with much much worse example of riding then what ariderslife has ever come close to.

as for hooning on the public roads.. as long as you are not in danger of causing others harm, I do not see the a problem with a little bit of fun. its the people that do it on crowded streets are the problem. but I do see why there is laws against it. (can't pick and choose who gets away with what) as for the penalty? loosing the bike for 30 days for lifting the front wheel up?.... that seems a bit ridiculous.

me, I do all my wheelies in parking lots or abandoned roads.... mainly because I suck at them an would be embarassed if anyone saw my pathetic attempts.

riderslife. let us know how things go in the courts (did you get a summons date yet?) hope they don't screw you too bad.

I don't think it's any secret that I'm not a fan of yours, Peter. I unsubscribed from you way back when you got exactly 200 subscribers overnight. Then 200 more a few days later, and then lost 200. I thought that very strange. Even had you listed on my channel as a channel to watch when you first started, but then I could tell you were in it for the money and "fame". I don't think that's healthy for the community as a whole.

What really pissed me off though, is that you came on here with your immature attitude saying
