Being that he just printed the ticket and let you go I assume he marked it down maybe like 55 in a 45? If not that's a huge thinning of the wallet for the ticket and insurance. I'd still try to fight it in court and delay the court date once or twice, they may even dismiss it (unless he did give you a huge break, than just pay it)!

I just paid it and moved on. That was money I was going to reinvest back into the channel. Well now I have to save up again.
