Concealed Carry on a motorcycle?

Once saw a guy open carrying with a thigh holster. Food for thought if you live in a open carry state. I use a leather under the belt holster to carry my Springfield XD 45 ACP.

How often in an average American's life do you actually ever need a firearm? Not here to argue why you carry it, just have you ever actually needed it? I'm sure if it was legal in the UK most people would never have to use one if they did carry.

We carry because we can......To much in America we don't exercise our rights. And so we lose them slowly, one by one.......

in this country firing a gun will get you jail time.

don t get me wrong i got a gun license too ( in Germany its not for handguns) and its rather rare for people to have that
but its not really for self defense

well its basically a rifle license which means i could buy certain types of rifles including shotguns and go sport shooting like trap "skeet sporting clays"

the club i am registered at only has that so i can only have a shotgun but if i become a member at another that has target shooting i could buy a rifle.

there are all kinds of rules tho like, if i have the gun in the trunk i need to have the shells somewhere else ( in the car) and i believe i am only allowed to drive to and from certain places and not have the shotgun in the car all the time etc.

have a few more stories if someone is interested

It is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I'm sure you all wear protective riding gear for the most part. Are you all expecting to crash? No. But you accept the possibility of crashing and that's why you wear boots, gloves, jackets...

Now, people that conceal carry are not expecting to get into a situation where they have to defend themselves. But have accepted the possibility.

Just my $0.02.

unconcealed carry would be more fun!!

I use a tank bag if I only need my small essentials with me, or I will carry in my backpack for longer rides. Look into a shoulder holster if you are worried about being separated from your bike.

Nailed it!

I know this is an older thread but something I've considered myself.
A tank bag works great and is an option to keep it out of the weather and in reach.
What i've also seen is a guy had a synthetic holster sewn to the outside of his tank bag, gun secure but in reach.
He removed it and stuck it in a shoulder or hip holster at stops he told me, no biggie.
I carry a .45 and wouldn't want it on me if I fell, that would suck.

Food for thought, also try firing your weapon with your riding gear on.
Can you get your finger on the trigger with your gloves?

it would be so kool if in the uk we could have guns even just toy ones :P would look so kool on a motorbike with one :) Xx
