I used to have to do loads with my old Easypix Xtasy. It put out really washed out and bland coloured footage.

But the DRIFT HD does a great job with colours and contrast in my opinion. I only really do anything extra if I want to add something to the feel of the video.

Same here, I let the Drift decide

I only touch up my 5 sec intros to make it look more vivid, otherwise I leave all other footage as is...

I just use a nice LUT for protune I made myself, adjusting here and there depending on how I feel.
