Clip Art / Images

Suburban Delinquent

A Suburban Delinquent
I noticed some of you guys are using clip art in your videos. Cartoon heads and what not. Where are you getting these from? Just randomly off the internet or are you using a royalty free content provider?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

well, the guys who aren't monetized can put whatever they want in the vids... So it doesn't matter that they get pics from anywhere on the web. But I think that memes are royalty-free... there is no "Owner". Just be sure to have a meme without a website or name on the picture.

Yea like some of the stuff is just free to use like the rage heads and shit i believe, I have one with a blue bird for like 1/2 a second in my video, not sure if it is not allowed but I guess I will find out :P, got it off of google images, I may have to go in there and check it out, I forgot how much of a stickler YouTube is sometimes.

That's not 100% true. Copyright is copyright, it's just less of an issue for most

I just use Google images. I just use PNG images so the background is transparent. Haven't had an issue yet and my channel is monetized.

Key word is "yet" ;)

Tip for Mac users. If younfind an image on a white background, assuming the rest of the image has enough contrast from the white, you can use Preview to convert the image to PNG and use the efit tools to delete the white leaving transparent.

I'll try find the proper link tomorrow if anyone is interested, use it a lot for my video thumbnails.

And once you have an issue with monetisation you might end up saying bye bye to ever earning money from the channel again.

I don't monetize the actual videos. I don't want to make money off my videos. I do it because it's a hobby. I have ads disabled. Do you think I'll still have issues?

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I only monetized my channel for the schedule upload feature.

mine are a mix of made ones / googled images. I usually edit them again anyway and convert to PNG so they have transparent backrounds and look good in the videos.
