Channel Logo / Icons

G'day,
I see on some peoples channels, merchandise, facebook pages and instagram accounts that they have had a specific logo - Leadpin, 6ft4Honda, WarMachine etc. Are there any reccomended people or places to go for these channel art / logo designs? I'd be interested in getting a logo made up one day, there are some great ideas out there already and all.

Cheers, Carmo.

I made mine myself, it's a great way to learn image editing which is an invaluable skill to have.

I have tried. It reminded me of a few years ago when I was developing my own video game. Core gameplay was complete, but I dropped the project when I realized that I would have to outsource the graphics. Doing decent graphics is hard if you you don't really have the personality for it.

I've used fiver in the past and have had decent success with it for creative original content.

Mine was initially for personal use as a sticker being an independent rider, not part of any groups/clubs/etc. Later on got ported over to be the current logo I use (as per avatar).

I made my own and as a web designer and Tattoo designer it is best to do your own if you find that you need help message me and I will hook you up with some designs.

If I were to give designing my own a crack or get someone else to design one - where do I start? As in what makes up your logo and does every small part of it have a story behind it?

For example if I got a graphic designer to do mine would I give him a short list like; I'm australian, I ride this type of bike, bike is this colour, this my name, I enjoy hungry jacks whoppers and jumble all that together please then let me know what you come up with?

I think what helps with a logo is that a simple one is always far more effective than a complex one so you don't need to be a pro to make something good, you just need a good idea.

Carmo, I would pick a message you want to portray in your logo. In my case it represents my name, so you have the yellow colour and the holes for Swiss cheese, and my Street Triple outline for the Motard ("biker" in French).

If you want someone else to design it I would use fiverr, but have a go yourself at making a single colour logo first. That way even if it goes wrong you can send it to the guys on fiverr as a rough idea of what you want.

Well would you say you are a stereotypical Australian, if so you could use a Flag (If you are patriotic) or a silhouette of the country but this is a little cliche. And using any native animals has been done a million times over. But I am yet to see a kookaburra. (Look at Adrian Nickelodeon, Just a kangaroo shooting itself)
Your bike and its colour can be represented in a few ways, A coloured silhouette, Just the make & model in a font that represents you or the bike, A specific part of the bike... (Take note from TheSwissMotard)
As for the burger, I would leave it out, or use a burger as the background, if you are that fond of them :P But if a burger is a big part of your logo and banner this is what I would think :D http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/152/b/6/ed_on_good_burger_by_cassidylovesart-d51v7og.jpg

Cheers for the feedback guys, I definitely have a little bit to think about. It has all helped alot

No icon yet. I am trying to learn how to edit photos to make my own. Might use my sister to make one for me if things don't go as planned.
Having someone professional make your logo might guarantee a good result but it doesn't guarantee a unique one. If even one other person asked something similar to yours , there is a chance it will look similar too.

I made mine myself and it kind of looks that way :D I will have to do some work on it, but right now I'm just using it as a small watermark on my videos, so it doesn't really matter.
