Car Guys/gals

What do you drive? Some of us may be car guys/gals as well as our love for motorcycles.

I have a '97 BMW E36 M3 that I've had for like 9 years! I have done a ton of work to it, turbo'd, coil overs, brakes, gauges, the works! Its another passion/hobby of mine. I hope to one day make it a full track car but for now its just another one of my toys!

So what car/truck do you drive? What have you done to it if its not stock? :)

Currently a Ford Fiesta ST, previously a Skoda Octavia vRS and prior to that I had a Toyota GT86. I was a man with a van before that as I used to shove my bikes in the back to get them to the naval base I was based at in Scotland or to trackdays etc. I miss the van but love my little Fiesta! :D

I have a '99 Mazda MX5 Miata. I havent done much to it myself, but it has alloy wheels, upgraded rear end of the exhaust and a cold-air intake.
I love the thing but after 4-5 years I need some change. Going to sell it to afford a bike.

Celica 98 ST :)

Got it from an old bloke a year ago, its not the fastest car but it gets to the good speeds quickly.

Stock '15 Toyota Tacoma. I love everything about it except for the 5 foot bed. Super inconvenient when you're hauling 8 foot lumber or a dirt bike in the back.

I used to be a big car guy. I have an old 89 Trans Am and a 2000 Mustang. Once I got my first bike I totally lost interest in cars and rarely ever drive them now. If my Mustang ever dies I'll probably replace it with something cheap because driving cars just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I want to save any money I would waste on a car to get more bikes! :)

I've always had a soft spot for Trans Ams....particularly the '77. I hear it's good for outrunning Smokeys...

I have a couple of things lets say.

1999 WRX as a daily driver
2012 Xr6 Turbo (which unless your a aussie you have no idea what it is) for the mrs to drive around in.
And a couple of older projects on the go, which again unless your a aussie you have no idea what I'd be talking about.

Oh and nothing is stock on any of them

I contemplated the Scooby as a replacement to my Fiasco ST, but just can't justify the cost to change. Saying that, am gonna have to throw some money at my Fiesta ASAP as it is making some horrid noises!

Daily Driver is my trusty 1997 Toyota Tacoma single cab 5-lug 2.4 litre. Had it for 14 years now and done everything including living in it years ago after college. Its part of my family now.

Also have a 1997 Camaro Z28 30th Anniversary (white with orange stripes). This thing is fast as hell. Tons done to the engine and suspension. Its a track car for sure. But it has a small knock which is causing me to rebuild the lt1 350. Most likely do a 355 build on it with a mild cam. American muscle baby! Although the Japanese toyota last way longer lol

I didn't include it in my original post but my wife has a 2017 Ford Explorer and a bike too. (Street750) We're expecting a baby so my car isn't great for that but I'm keeping it! She's not riding since we found out in January for obvious reasons. Glad to see/hear theres a lot of car and bike people here, great community to be a part of. :)

2007 BMW 320d :(

Previous car was a bugeye WRX, 297bhp dyno'd. Loved her so much. Got caught at 101mph so it got too expensive, had to sell. Worst decision I've made by far.

I put so much into that car as well, my blood sweat and tears is literally in that car, as well as a hell of a lot of money.

I began with a
1998 MAZDA EUNOS 30X (MX-3), totally stock.
Continued toward a 1991 HONDA INTEGRA DA9 (ACURA), with a $12,000+ sound system.

While having the DA9 I got myself a 1992 HONDA CRX DEL SOL with engine work done to it.

There did come a short period, where I bought a 2004 NISSAN 350Z CONVERTIBLE, totally stock.

After all of this, I bought a 2001 MAZDA MX-5 NB8B, this lead to installing a turbo, with all the rx7 turbo bits. (additional images in links)

After moving to Turkey, I bought a 2012 VOLKSWAGEN POLO, hated it. Cars are extremely expensive in Turkey (you can look it up, a Mustang costs about 200,000). An Ferrari 1.5 million dollars etc. They add about 80% tax to every automobile. So this meant an MX-5 would set me back about $40,000 and I could not bring myself to pay that much more (it was only $15k in Australia).

Then I finally bought a trashed, dead-motor 1992 HONDA CRX DEL SOL. I fixed it up, made it a little pocket rocket. (these are worth about $12,500 in Turkey lol).

and now I finally have my motorcycle.

I never actually showed a pic of my MX5, and I polished it earlier today. So I guess it's a good time to show it now.

Noticed the flat tire as I took the pics, turned out to be a screw -.-
