That is the classic filtering accident you described. I look for junctions and signs too when I filter to try and avoid that. Although if I did get walloped it is likely that it won't do much damage as I don't filter as fast as some either.

Yeah, I have a love/hate relationship with filtering
I love the fact that I can do it but it takes so much concentration, especially on a road with junctions.

Agreed I do the M25 in rush hour and A roads around it, it is really tiring.
