its not always about the bike your on, its about how well you present the video and engage the audience. ( thats if your serious and after subs ! )
^ As above. ^

I recently was fearing the same problem what I'm doing wrong. I realize in hindsight the 4 moto vlogs I've posted are quite boring to the first time viewer: "just another guy nerding out and moaning about the world inside his helmet". Upon reading what google/youtube have to say about improving videos, I've had to take stock of what I'm filming and why. What the narrative is and how to tell the story. It's worth a read (take note of what it says about "first 15 seconds").

I think if you contrast what you're doing with say what AccidentalBroadcast is doing, you'll see he's either read that document well, or he's "naturally" good. I would be inclined to think he's just paid attention to what that book says.

I'll subscribe to you now. :P I see you have double my count anyhow. :D

Ditto man, I'm glad your vids aren't just while you're riding. Some moto-vloggers only upload vids while they're in the saddle. I can't wait to see your conversion! :)

Dirt Vlogger here. 8-)

Well, I ride a dual sport and have uploaded my first two real motovlogs that are mostly pavement with some dirt thrown in for good measure. The two vlogs I edited last night are about 95% dirt. First one I'm uploading is me telling a story about running from the cops(while exploring a new trail that we find on the vid together.) The second one is about 98% dirt with a couple of "almost lost it" and one "fffuuuuuuccccckkkkk, laid it over". Subbed and enjoyed your vid that I've watched so far! I do my best to keep my viewers entertained, but I figure if I'm having a genuine good time the audience will(hopefully) pick up on it and have a good time watching.

Check'em out, I drop tons of F-bombs so you probably don't want to watch with your young-n's around. lmfao

PS: I've also uploaded a really short vid were I'm a punk surfer and everyone is trying to run me over.

I'm sure I'll eventually get a dirt bike myself so I do enjoy watching vloggers on dirt bikes just as well as street bikes. Come to think of it, I probably have about 30-50 bloggers who ride mainly dirt bikes; and I have about 292 people I am sub'ed to.

It's not that dirt riding is boring, it's that motovlogging has become extremely oversaturated.

Just wondering,
How is it over saturated? It seems like there's plenty of room on the internet. Me and lots of people love to watch motovlogs. I think a "good" vlogger has an excellent chance of becoming popular. Look at it like this.. Here on motovlog.com there are less than 700 members. #1 motovlogger has almost 80,000 subs, and almost 60million views.(shows there's plenty of interest) I think we are still in motovlogging infancy and in the next few years it will only get bigger. I'm also starting to get a little bored with some of the "stars" of motovlogging. It's as if they've run out of material but still feel this need to feed their subs more videos so they go out and make boring motovlogs. It makes me want to check out the fresh material from guys with 10+ vlogs and vlogs with less than 100 views per vlog in hopes I'll stumble across the next big hit on my sub list.
I like to motovlog because it's like I have someone riding with me that I can talk to. It brings more fun to riding for me. I get to be myself and do and say what I want. I have also found over the last few vlogs I've done that I'm more adventurous when I vlog than just riding by myself. I guess I just don't see how something like this can get over saturated when it's really just suppose to be done for fun with the hopes of getting popular just as an added bonus.

I was lured to try dirt biking from vloggers danmoto73 and funkiershit. Once I tried it, I discovered dirt biking so much more adrenaline pumping and physically demanding than street riding- more than I imagined from watching the videos. I find it incredibly difficult to vlog on a dirtbike. I guess it's because I'm still learning how to off-road and all I seem to end up doing is spitting out profanities which for some odd reason, my viewers enjoy, lol. I don't like to swear! :( I hope to purchase a dirtbike this year and we will see how it goes. :) I wouldn't single out dirt vlogs as boring, I've seen boring vlogs on every kind of bike, lol, but I think it's more challenging to do a vlog on a dirt bike than it is on a street bike because of the physical nature of dirt riding. The crashes and the laughter shared with fellow riders on a dirt ride is fun to watch :) I discovered your channel today through serpentZA and subbed. :D Vlog on!

aloha,
misa

Because there are thousands of vloggers that any one person could search for and watch. You never know how many there are, and who you will find more entertaining, unless you spend every waking minute on YouTube.

I have a dual sport bike and I've done a few videos in the dirt but I haven't vlogged in the dirt. It's not from lack of trying though. I've attempted 3 dirt vlogs recently and each time I had trouble with my camera. I have a Drift HD.

me too

all my best stuff lost, due to a crash

went through Santa Pod on Friday night, but it wasn't recording
