I'm going to start making my videos very soon.
I'm wondering if I can use adobe after effects to make and edit entire videos.
I am a toooootal novice at this. Any suggestions/hints?

Hey sorry for the late reply! I joined the forum long after you posted the question. You can use adobe after effects to edit videos, but it might not be as friendly as adobe premiere pro. Adobe after effects is better for special effects while premiere pro is better (IMO) for general editing. I've used both before for a single video. Used Adobe after effects to blur out my speed on the raw footage, then used premiere pro to combine the clips together for the final video. If I had to only choose one though I'd pick premiere pro.

Don't need AE mate. It is always good to have but premiere Pro is very powerful. Use the built in effects like video transitions and levels if you wish to adjust the color. Warp stabilization is great if you want a really smooth shot. providing nothing passes your foreground too close. check out some Premiere Pro tutorials on YouTube. a butt load there and enjoy!
