I think my favorite motovlogger hate video was put up by CycleCruza. He doesn't call anyone out particularly but he does call out some common behaviours.
He's been doing it for 5 years though, and I'm sure he struggles with topics sometimes, but I'm sure his subscribers give him a lot of material to work with too.
As for getting hate...I wouldn't sweat it too much. I mean if they are coming to your video and commenting, letting the video play, well it's good for your channel in the end.
At the end of the day, it's hard to have an opinion on the internet, you really just gotta sack up and either hold to it, or let someone convince you your opinion is wrong. Neither is a bad thing, but you don't want to stick to either when it's wrong either if you want to grow as a person.
Unfortunately the internet is full of bitter nerds who need to tear down someone who is more popular than them, and the way some people identify with people as if they know them personally, they will defend them vigorously.
Fortunately, most nerds are soft, when they aren't behind their keyboards, so it's usually nothing to worry about.
There's a fine line between being controversial, and just being an a-hole, it's a fun line to straddle though.
