3.5mm on a Hero8 Black?

I am new to the covers, but the ones I got for the 8 are supposedly good for 4 years, the ones on my Session 5 are supposed to be good for a year iirc.

I saw ones on sale that lasted 3 months, needless to say I didnt get them.

4 years sounds like some good value for money
