Nice article! I work for a Honda Dealer here in the states and it makes me jealous because the U.K. gets so many more bikes than we do. We only get the CBR600RR or CBR100RR and we can get a CB1000RR but no hornets for us anymore and we sure cant get the CBR600F. We also get a CBR250RR but in the UK you guys get a CBR125 and several other variations of the CBR line. Honda wont bring lots of their line to the states because most Americans look at motorcycles as a play toy and not what they are ment for. I ride a Sport Tourer a VFR because I enjoy the sport aspect the bike has but mainly the comfort. And I wish Honda would bring back some of their bikes to the U.S. market. However I know why they dont because they wont sell here. Americans want speed or cruiser style or maybe a duel sport but nothing really in between. So I dont know if we will see anything great in the U.S. like the CBR600F any time soon! :(

I wonder if it is state by state restrictions because I see quite a lot of vloggers (the arizona bunch) are on 600F's.

Well let me refraise that! I think the last year 2006 or 2007 was when Honda brought over the CBR600F4i but they are no longer being made for the states. Take a look at www.Honda.com and then look at a Honda site in the UK and you will see what I mean as difference in bikes.

Thanks I use to think so too but sometimes I love it and sometimes I beat my head against the wall! lol

Well - last night was a bit of a fail, not really from the Kawasaki launch point of view, but from my attempt at a first vlog. I ended up taking no footage at the event as you simply couldn't get any decent perspective on the bikes as there were so many people drooling or hanging off them all the time. There was one fantastic moment where they performed the unveiling of the ZZR1400 to the sound of complete and utter silence. The young guy next to me leant over and said 'Uh, should we clap or something?', haha :)

The new ZZR1400 looks fantastic in the flesh, with the exception of the exhausts. Oh my god they're ugly. If I was crazy/experienced/rich enough to buy one, they'd have to be replaced at the factory with aftermarket ones.

The ER-6F (Ninja 650 for US types) is gorgeous. Lovely looking bike and at £1,400 less (£1,000 for the ABS) than the CBR600F it'll perhaps beat it in the sales stakes in the UK. I think I'll still go for the Honda though.

The naked version, the ER-6N I found a little disappointing though - it just felt a little cheap, which is odd compared to the ER-6F which seemed fine. Maybe the little bits of plastic felt like an afterthought, I'm not sure.

Apologies for not having any footage to show - I had the camera all set up and ready to go too :S
