If you can take it, take it twice
I got this brand new back in 2007. Considered getting a 1000, but there's no need for one where I live, not to mention the insurance is dirt cheap since technically it's only a 599.

0-60 might be close but the blade will do 100 in first gear im pretty sure the RR doesnt
Not even close, especially with the gear change I did. I can still hit about 60 in first, but after that, the 1000 is gone. With -1/+3, I can get them off the line most of the time because they can't keep the front end down, but it's all over when I shift into 2nd. Still, I'd rather have a 600...WAY cheaper insurance, better gas mileage and there's no need for a 1000 where I live.

ohh no doubt i think 1000s are too much for the road anyway but the 1000 had everything over the 600, even on launch, but thats mostly down to rider get a guy on his 1000 who can launch hes gone no matter what.

Best shape 600RR in my opinion. Not sure what Honda were thinking when they designed the new ones.
I like the new rims more, but that's about it. Honda really needs to step their game up if they wanna compete with everyone else.

Yeah it's definitely all about the rider, but that gear change made a BIG difference. Plus most of my friends don't practice launching, so it's pretty easy to get them off the line. Not to mention that most of their bikes are stock or close to it, and I've got the full Yoshi exhaust, BMC racing air filter, Power Commander with a custom tune and a few other performance parts. The majority of the guys around here have 1000s that are 4-5 years old or even older, and they waste all their money on useless cosmetic crap rather than parts, so it's kinda funny when I smoke them on my "little" 600. It's a nice ego boost actually, but if a guy showed up on an SS1000RR, I'd be prepared to lose.

She's a beauty! I ride the exact same bike and i have nothing but good things to say about her. That bike scores highly in any review I've read out there. I think its the best model of the RR yet. Still overpowers the newer models.

Hell yeah! I did a lot of research before buying it, and the CBR was definitely the best 600 that year. Is there any chance you're from the London area? Some friends and I might be taking a ride up there this summer.

I'm from Pittsburgh, but we were planning a trip to the falls then possibly to London, Detroit, Cleveland and then back home. I'll have to Google Brand Bend and check it out.
