just a quick question, I was hoping to try out the drift in 1080p. I know it reduces the FoV. I tried it on the lid and a tiny bit of chinguard is still visible so I won't miss much foreward view.

question is, is it worth it?

any ideas are welcome.

Thanks

Well that depends on what you upload in aswell, the bigger FOV = Widescreen YT. When I tried 1080p the FOV when uploading it to YT, it had a black border around it.

Now I film in 720p 30fps Edit & render it in 1080p Widescreen & upload to YT.

My Videos are filmed in 720 but you can watch them in 1080. + uses less memory on the card.

The time it takes to upload can sometimes be doubled, Not much in quality but because it was filmed in 720, renderd in 1080 YT think it's a 1080p file. So I think the quality is still 720p.

Most people only watch in 720 anyways so might be worth just filming in 720 & leaving it at that, my last vlog was at 720 decent enough footage & easy to see things clearly.

ok then that's settled =) thanks for the tips. just my recent recording quality was a little low. Would boosting the FPS help this?

Really I've only found higher FPS is better for slow mo thats it.

What editing SW are you using?

vegas pro 11 but i'm talking about quality pre edit. I'm probably just being paranoid :P though tell me what you think about my vid quality on YT haven't changed settings since last vid

Yeah 60fps really is for slow motion stuff, and I personally prefer the widest possible FOV. That's why I use 720p on the GoPro, extra wide angle = more of the action :)

It seems a little shakey, maybe its not screwed in tight enough?
& I'm presuming your latest video was filmed in the minuss? the camera may not be able to cope that low?

I've just watched it in 720p & its fine to me, I'd say check the screw on the adaptor make sure it's secure & tight. other than that keep doing what you are vlogs are very clear to me.

thanks for checking (and the sub) depending on the vid shaking can be either me shivering or road is the camera is tight, but I'll check again. cheers for the help
