in fact, maybe that will be the content I edit, it seems like a good enough topic to vlog all by itself. If you are ok with waiting a week.

Any chance anyone could do a step-by-step break down of the procedure, or maybe even a video? I'd definitely watch it.

Today I made an awesome video for you regarding this, and I utilised the duping method to create it. Currently it is not working out on YouTube and looks as bad as a normal 1080 video and is currently not giving me the 2.7k option on playback so I am going to give it a while to see if it improves in quality....

..... Ooo, it has worked. I have already put my planned video for today up though so I'll not make this one public just yet.

cant wait to see it,
I just recorded a video in 4K from a overhead angle in my garage, in terms of zooming in and cropping its great but the fixed wide field of view puts a bit of a curve on the sides of the video.
Like my worktable didnt look square on the corners so I'm thinking I'll record it again in 2.7K if it allows me to change the FOV to Narrow.

Can you not record it in "Linear" mode?

no probs mate. Do you use a phone to control it via the app? I like the app but only really use it on the Session 5 as the 5 and 6 Black have a touch screen so easy to set up as a standalone

yup, I use the app...mostly to get my angle right and adjust settings, then I cut off the connection settings from the camera because it has a tendency of getting hot, plus it gives me a little more life outta the battery.

So interestingly it seems viewers are getting different quality available to them on some videos. Last night I was watching some vids on ie and was only being offered 720p to watch it, but when I watched on Google Chrome I was offered the full 1080 they uploaded the video at. @lupin mentioned to me that the video I made linked above was only available to him at 1080p and looked really blocky whereas others are able to view it upto 1440p (and at 1080p was a vast improvement in quality too).
I have taken some screen grabs from it at the same point on the vid.

This is it at 1440p on my PC:

@lupin would you be able to upload your screenshot here too as a comparison? These were taken at 47s into the video.

I edited in Premiere Pro CS5.5 (my usual editor) at 1080 60 and in the trial for Filmora 2.7 60. The screenshots are from roughly the same frame as you can tell there is a difference. Viewed on desktop with 1080p monitor in chrome

For some reason won't let me go over the base resolution when I try to export.

You are using the free version, you can't go above a certain resolution.

My previous post was not for us to just start posting random screenshots, more to see how a specific video looks to those viewing, to see if YouTube were throttling videos to different locations/individuals! :)
