in fact, maybe that will be the content I edit, it seems like a good enough topic to vlog all by itself. If you are ok with waiting a week.
Today I made an awesome video for you regarding this, and I utilised the duping method to create it. Currently it is not working out on YouTube and looks as bad as a normal 1080 video and is currently not giving me the 2.7k option on playback so I am going to give it a while to see if it improves in quality....Any chance anyone could do a step-by-step break down of the procedure, or maybe even a video? I'd definitely watch it.

Can you not record it in "Linear" mode?cant wait to see it,
I just recorded a video in 4K from a overhead angle in my garage, in terms of zooming in and cropping its great but the fixed wide field of view puts a bit of a curve on the sides of the video.
Like my worktable didnt look square on the corners so I'm thinking I'll record it again in 2.7K if it allows me to change the FOV to Narrow.
Not sure, I'm working with a Hero 5 Session so I think my options are a little limited, I'll have to check the camera when I get home but fairly certain I could on run it as "Wide" under 4k.Can you not record it in "Linear" mode?
Sweet, then I'll definitely be re-recording its in 2.7k. Thanks! You can record the Hero 5 Session in 2.7k 30fps with Linear view
You are using the free version, you can't go above a certain resolution.I edited in Premiere Pro CS5.5 (my usual editor) at 1080 60 and in the trial for Filmora 2.7 60. The screenshots are from roughly the same frame as you can tell there is a difference. Viewed on desktop with 1080p monitor in chrome

For some reason won't let me go over the base resolution when I try to export.
