Good spin on the big bikes the other day, traffic was terrible, but still bloomin awesome to get out and play on the bikes, and even more so when lunch is paid for! :D
So looking forward to next year's trackday season. My Moto Guzzi V7 is a hell-lotta fun... but the Gixer will be the weapon of choice for 2022. Having the van means I should be able to get to some new tracks too! Star-struck
The Moto Guzzi V85 TT is a cracking bike, I could do with a few extra inches (that's what she said) in my legs & the tyres (Anakee Adventure) were just about at the top end of their ability, but what a fun little ride to Newlands Corner in the sand & mud:
Other than another video I made a couple of years ago I have not found many how to remove or replace the rear wheel on a Moto Guzzi V7. On my previous video I showed how to do so without removing the transmission box assembly, which is just about manageable with a standard 130 tyre. If however...
I was proper excited when I heard about the V7 getting an 850 engine, I recorded a video of my thoughts and what it could mean from the factory in it's 100th anniversary year! :)
Wolvens Lane in Surrey used to be amazing on a dualsport bike, but now it has been wrecked. The Moto Guzzi V85 TT took it all in it's stride though! :D
Needed to reset my brain and get some fresh air, so popped out on my new Moto Guzzi V85 TT to do a couple of easy trails and grab a brew and have a wander up at Newlands Corner today :)
I recently discovered I have a Moto Guzzi dealership a lot closer to me than the other 2 I would normally use, which was a perfect excuse to take a demo on the lovely V85TT :)
The upright riding position of my Moto Guzzi V7 was very comfortable, but I want to be able to use it on trackdays more so fitting clip on handlebars made some sense to me.
These are an OEM part from Moto Guzzi as they fitted them to the earlier V7 Racers, so swapping them out was not...
This lockdown isn't so bad, gave my little Moto Guzzi V7 a spring clean. It's been in the garage all winter, be a bit longer before it gets a run I imagine sadly, but started up first push of the button. Good little beasty
The V7 needs to get legal...
Also bump into a motovlogger I follow (you should to, he is ace). And is a little video response to @Jafnhaar recent video! :-)
Been getting my V7 ready for an MoT in the hope to bodge my way to a pass today. Taped up the lights, velcroed on a full size number plate and reflector and refitted the original cans which look ridiculous with the cut down frame. Hopefully it'll pass and I can get it back to how I intend it to...
I am currently massively customising my Moto Guzzi V7, and it hasn't been without it's stresses, in fact today by being a tit I just cost myself £500 as I trashed my fuel pump by over torquing it so am a bit grumpy this eve. I have however got my new paintwork back and fortunately I got a refund...
So spring has hit, we are banging on summers front door.... what are your plans?
I am hoping to get my V7 painted, which will reduce saddle time for the month, but once it is painted, it is basically finished so next on the agenda is to go visit http://www.szpakbiker.co.uk/ and get some...
