I recently found myself at the Hamburger Dom, the local fairground, with my Sony AS30V action cam in hand. So I thought why not use it as a quick test of the Action Cam's Steadyshot stabilisation feature (as well as a bit of a sideline in testing the low light picture quality).
So I jumped on the fastest Rollercoaster there and what you see before you is the result!
It's shot in 1080p at 30 frames per second. I know that with the speed, 60 fps would have made a smoother video, but in low light, 60fps just looks grainy and fuzzy on ANY camera!!
Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the result. All rollercoaster videos I've ever seen have been bone jarringly shaky. this one is really rather smooth!
The fair test would have been to go back and try again without the image stabilisation. But I'm afraid the Bratwurst stand was calling my name!!
