This is really my first try at doing stuff in Sony Vegas...so be gentle. What do you guys think?

Not bad!

Wish I knew as much in Premiere as I do Photoshop. There's so much to learn!

I still need an into for my channel too...

Thanks, I feel you man...I'm a webdeveloper and have tons of Photoshop knowledge...but can't translate that so easy to moving media...hehe.

Ha, yea...but won't any vlog be loud since you want to hear those exhaust soundssexythings?

Generally you're meant to normalise the base level to -12 on your audio master output, not that I can be bothered to do that most of the time :P

Well that's not really accurate. You're not meant to do anything :D it all depends on what you want the experience of the user to be. Most dubstep, rock (metal) and hardstyle mixes are -.5 dB. When you look at Jazz and other more relaxing music, the experience should be different so that perceived loudness should be adjusted as well. I do alot of mixing and mastering for my own projects and for bands, and have done so for about 10 years. So I should be good, in the audio editing corner :P I don't process my vlog audio though, I did however did a fun thing on my last vlog that did get me better results.

I record my engine sound with a separate mic (I have stereo mics on my GoPro, so one is in the back of helmet, one is for voice). I separate the stereo channels, and EQ the voice track to remove bass (below vocal range) and remove high (above vocal range) and boost the vocal range. On my engine track I do the opposite, and mix them out. Turned out pretty good! (
