General How/why Did You Start Riding?

i think this question will have many different answers from many different people and that is great! I personally started because it's in my blood. My grandad had some kind of old yamaha something er other and he would let me ride on it with him up and down the road. 2 of my uncles both had bikes for most of their life and i'd always hear stories about them being on the road and having a good time. A few years ago one of my uncles passed unexpectedly. That really stuck a chord in me and i couldn't get my license soon enough. I got a license, traded an old oldsmobile for a sportster so i could ride with my other uncle before it was too late. He, unfortunately has had to give up his bike because of nerve issues in his back and leg. I still got to go on a few rides with him and it as an amazing time.

I started because i needed a way to get to my job and back and at the moment i wasnt getting enough income to pay off an insurance and for a person my age (21) it wouldve been almost $300. Also the Miami traffic was terrible and it was just an 8 mile round trip to work so i got myself the BEST MOTORCYCLE EVER haha
