Cheap And Easy Way To Record Sound From Your Intercom

Hi all!
For some time people have asked how I do this, and it's not easy to explain in type so I thought I would do a quick vlog on it.
You can include your intercom conversations in your vlogs with this method without spending a fortune or being a dab hand with a soldering iron!!
This is also handy in so many ways - even doing a multi-camera dual vlog (with sound on each camera) this can be helpful when editing in that you can use footage from any camera and still hear all the voices.

I hope this will help people who would like to add their intercom sound on group rides /dual vlogs etc.
I did ask permission from Dan to make sure i wasn't doing the wrong thing by posting a vid in here, he gave me the nod (thanks Dan).
Cheers!

Thanks, I'll be doing similar but with a different splitter to get one mic on the left channel and the other on the right channel so I can split out the audio afterwards.

That's a good idea for having the ability to mix the 2 sounds. Can you then mix them back in mono, or stereo where you can choose the panning positions? Otherwise you'd have one sound on left, other sound on right - a few people do that and it annoys me lol :)

You split the stereo track into separate mono tracks so everyone's voice comes out of both speakers.

The advantage is you can mix the levels or mute the lady friend if she keeps talking over you ;)
