I have mine inside the cheek pad a little farther away from my mouth that way wind doesnt come up the bottom and so god doesnt kill a kitten! Make sure to have a "wind sock" SwissMotard.

Although on my Portugal series I didn't have the best mic setup.

Stick the microphone in the cat's cheek pad - that should do him some good ...

get a mini deadcat, place it away from any open areas, get a chin curtain. those worked well for me. also try growing a giant beard. more wind deflection!

I also place my mic in the cheek pad, but sticking out into the area in front of the mouth. Then I have two mic windscreens and foam over it. Seems to work OK. Need thicker foam. Helmet is a cheap HJC, so you know...
