Funny First Experience Riding In The Rain. (cali Edition)

Rain is no longer problem for me. I always bring a raincoat and shoes cover, and riding nicely :D

But fog and smoke, so hard to deal with it :|

jog really sucks, Rain is no problem! Just road for an hour in the rain yesterday in the day and night. Just got a little wet where my glove overlaps my jacket.

i found these things out the hard way. never crashed, but had some pucker moments.
Hahaha Pucker monents!!!!

I knew going into that ride that it would be slippery. First time I rode on wet streets gave me an immediate indication of how slick the roads were when I put my foot down to drag it alone the ground. That shit felt like tennis shoes on ice. There was no friction between the road and my shoe. I said fuck this, flipped a Bitch and when back home.

Im loving this Thread a lot guys!! Please share your experience!! Dont be a info hog!!

there's no shame in backing away if your safety is in question. you don't want to scratch up your baby either. i was leaving the gym one time and it had showered while i was inside. the stoplight to the road was on a hill and i stopped beside a big white arrow. i put my foot on the paint unknowingly and almost fell over. luckily i caught my footing quickly.
I also tried to stop at different red light and almost lowsided. i blew through a light that just had changed red, but it was that or low side. judgment calls aren't fun.

Yeah that white paint on the ground can be a pain. Only time I have problems with them is when Im turning on cold tires. There is that initial slip or slide while on the paint then the tire catches once you reach the pavement again. Every single time I do that, it freaks me out. One thing you always have to remember when riding in rain is that you have very little immediate stopping power. Even at a slow speed, that front end can wash out very easily.
