Nerd here. I got kicked out of my high school marching band for insubordination because I disobeyed a "direct order" from our director in front of 200 of my class mates (our band was very strict, almost military-like). This was all well and good until he managed to work up some crocodile tears in front of everyone to sway sympathy in his direction. Kids were threatening me and trying to slash my tires. It was embarrassing because, despite being young and rebellious I was also really shy, and I didn't want to be in the spotlight. It was the talk of the school even after I graduated because our director was like God to that school.
He had fantasies that he was some military officer. We even wore the exact same white Navy coats that the U.S. Navy wears as their dress uniform. We wore captains bars as seniors and the leadership wore chevrons, couldn't have long hair, or jewelry or make-up or anything. It sucked.Great story!! A direct order? Wow that's strange for a band instructor to say XD
I barely remember high school really but I would say its probably more embarrassing looking back and having to be like what were you thinking? Aside from that I think all the fun and stupid stuff is great if I went back there would be a lot more of it becuae later in life the real world is less fun haha.
I stacked it once on the stairs when accepting an award at assembly....that was pretty funny/embarrassing.
