New Budget 'gopro Hero Action Cam' To Be Released.

I'm thinking of getting one as a second face camera on my tank, rear camera or a camera for my pillion.

Any ideas where this fits in with the 3 series in term of features, sensors battery life, quality etc?

Yeah it's a cut down GoPro, it's on their official site now too.

Looks like no removable battery or Mic port, so not great for vlogging but may perfect for a second camera.

This is what most of the gopro users need...People who require mic, multiple batteries, wifi e/t/c is a small % of the users IMO

I'm definitely getting one for dual perspective videos if the reviews are good.

The lack of swappable battery and mic port a bit a pain though.

Again, as stated above- not bad as a second camera. However dont discount the countour roam as second camera either

I already have all the mounts for a GoPro though, and I would want both of my camera to have similar footage quality, colours and field of view etc.

It's all about the drift cams mate. Go-pro is a no-go for me.

First of all the drift is not as bulky and has a much better design. Has a remote, waterproof, more aerodynamic and comes with a lot more accessories. I'm sure there's other things but this is the main stuff that I could think of.

Fair enough. My main issue with them is you can't mount them in the best position (chin) which completely dropped it off my radar.

Nothing worse than having the helmet take up a large part of the shot IMO.

You can get a suction mount and then mount it onto the tank.

The Chin seems to be the only place that you can get away with mounting a GoPro and not have it look too ridiculous. It seems like all there mounts extend their cameras too far from the surface.

I would have to disagree. If you want a really easy motovlog setup I don't think there is anything better than the GoPro, matched up with the Sena's and the Sena audio pack. Sounds great, and no cables, or cutting required.

Also allows for easy DualVlogs!

Just picked this up as a second camera for other angles and for my wife to start vlogging. Was looking at some cheap cameras but for a few extra bucks seemed like a good deal.
