Sound issues

Hey Guys,
Was recording a vlog this morning and i noticed that i have some serious issues with double up of sound. Setup:
-GoPro Hero3 Black
-Sena GP10 Bluetooth backpack
-Sena SMH10R bluetooth

Now the camera is mounted on the chin and i have the external mic on for the bluetooth backpak (so that i have some engine noise in the recording)
This means that sometimes (its weird) it doubles up my voice recording.
Is there anyway i can get rid of the double up in post?
any suggestions?

Please help :(

I guess, could just turn the external mic off on the bluetooth backpack.
But then theres no nice bike sound... untill i get an exhaust anyway :(

The external mic from the backpack..... Is separate from the sena unit itself? .... Mount the external one under the edge of the seat or behind a fairing in a small block of foam? .... Problem still is that depending on how loud you talking and how loud the engine is at any point in time .. You may drown out one or the other ... If they are being recorded in same audio channel through the backpack..

If you can have the audio feeds on different tracks/channels while recording then it would be cool... But I suspect you'd need a portable studio to do that? ... So ....

Record engine noise on separate device and edit it into your vids on a separate track....

Having 2 simultaneous feeds into 1 device is always going to be a headache to separate afterwards!

I should elaborate on the setup.
I have a sena bluetooth unit on the helmet with a mic infront of my mouth.
The bluetooth backpack is mounted to the go pro on my chin. The "external" mics for the backpack are inside the unit itself, i call it external because they are external to the inside of my helmet.

Its weird, i accidentally left the external mic on this morning and there was no problem at all.

But i think i will keep the external mics off. untill the exhaust arrives and i install it there will just be minimal exhaust noise. - as you said hoonigan :)

Thanks for the idea tho janx101

I think once you have the exhaust, there is no need for an additional external mic, just play with the positions/setups a bit until you are happy.

I know with my exhaust, I go deaf after riding for a while... sometimes wish I had a different exhaust (it came with the bike).....

Sounds great on video, though :D !

Your bike sounds awesome on video :)
I had the same issue with my old bike, Was loud as fk. wouldn't swap it for anything though.

Oh well hopefully i don't have to pay as much tax this financial year as i'm assuming i do have to.

Hehehehehe maybe I should buy earplugs in advance then...since on my learning bike, a cb500 this doesn't seem to be an issue...hehehe
