What Bike do you ride?

So what bikes do you all ride, and more importantly, why did you choose them? Was it because of the kind of roads you ride, the riding you do, were you influenced by advertising, peer recommendations, moto gp, or did you just go...

ooooh I want that bike, I'd sell my soul to own it :)

Well, as you can see, I have a 2014 Honda CTX 1300, and I do love this bike. I got it for the long rides that I plan on doing like to Sturgis in August. I am not influenced by advertising as much as looking for a reliable motorcycle that has most of the stuff I want in a motorcycle. The ABS and Traction Control System on this bike is awesome. I wish I had it before on a 1998 Suzuki LS650 Savage, but that was a p.o.s. My bike that I have now is a pretty good bike, but I need to take a vlog of me taking it on the highway, and some motorcycle events, so u can see for yourself how great of a bike I have imho. LOL

2006 Suzuki GSXR600. I chose it because it was the most comfortable of all and I could't beat the price... $3,500 for around 17,000 miles. Sure, it still needs a little work but well worth it :D !

I kind of have a bike addiction, but let's just say I have a bike for pretty much every situation. The only kind I don't have is something in the super-moto style. What I ride the most miles wise is the Road King since I do quite a few long trips a year. For day to day commuting, I ride the '14 VRod or the 03 VRod.

I ride an '04 Kawasaki ZX6r 636 because I think they're fine bikes and I always wanted one, and a Sinnis Apache 125 because I needed a small, cheap commuter for work.

I have more fun on the Sinnis... o_O

kawasaki z800, just because my dick was fallen in love.
I don't think we have that here in the US.

I've got a bike addiction too. I just end up selling and then buying a different bike more often than most.

I bought my Fazer because I always wanted one, even from before I started riding. When it came to buying a bike there was nothing else I wanted, and my Fazer just happened to be available at a bike shop up the road! Since then, she's reached 40,000 miles (less than 10,000 when I bought her), so I decided to buy my VFR800 to even out the miles. Even so, she's been super reliable, and I've never had to pay anything out in repairs apart from wear and tear.

To be honest, apart from evening out the miles between my bikes, I didn't really need the VFR. I just kind of wanted one. It's great for hooning around the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District, and the extra torque over my Fazer is brilliant for overtakes. Costs me a fortune for fuel on my city commute though!

Next? Honda Crosstourer ;)

I just can't seen to give up "one of the family". I did recently trade in the 13 Tri Glide (Trike). I wasn't riding it anymore. I got it two years ago after two shoulder surgeries and for almost a year I could not ride two wheels. But, when I get to the point in years that I again cannot ride two, I will not give up riding, I will go back to 3.

Is this what I have to look forward to when I'm 50 :( ??!

Truth be told, I did it to myself. Get 50-ish me in the gym next to some 20 year old guy. He's bench pressing X number of pounds, so I NEED to bench press at least that much. Good news is I could. Bad news is, muscles tear. Worse news is, I don't learn from my mistakes and did it again after the first surgery. But, trike is gone, back on the cruisers and the Panigale.

KTM Duke 200. I had no previous riding experience (just went straight through with my test without owning a 125 first) and so insurance was really expensive for me. This was cheap on insurance while still capable of doing the speeds I needed it to.

2014 Yamaha MT-09 (FZ-09 for the guys in the US).
Wanted a bit of excitement, upright seating position and the fact it has 3 different "power" modes makes it like 3 bikes in one.
Plus i love the look of it. I do a vid of why eventually.

i own an 1981 Kawasaki kz 550 ltd i got it because it was in my price range and it has a whole lot of old school style that i liked. i worked on it for about a year and a half before i got it on the road but im the one who did most of the work on her.

This is a strange but not unlikable machine, we don't have that model over here, but I can see why you like it. Reminds me of a Victory, do you think that Victory owners where their target market?
Are you going to post up clips of your trip to Sturgis? I would very much like to experience some of that ride. How far is it, and what kind of roads are you riding on?

Ohhh the '04 636, bloody lovely machine, I've owned three 6r's, all Green... great for 60,000 miles, I just loved them all... stirring the gearbox through the twisties, cant beat them.
