those who record w/ external mic's what are you doing for wind blocking? i'm trying to get some more wind resistance to the AT 3550

I am going to try and get some fake fur from the fabric store and make a dead cat, I will let you know how it works out

Windcut Windshield.....

Gets rid of the windnoise, but if the helmet is noisy then it'll pick up that noise :/
maybe I should wrap my helmet in this stuff too :D

I am going to the fabric store to find a material similar to that so I can make my own :)

Here is what I do:

Here is an example of how well it works:
Sounds good! You could ditch that added mono to stereo adapter and just double your mono audio track in your editing software to both channels :) If your using adobe premiere it literally takes one second to do..

Thanks!
Yeah, this season, I've started leaving the adapter out and its working fine.

Just did a quick test with the dead cat fabric I picked up! Looks like its going to work great! :)

That looks like a pretty simple fix for wind noise with the foam and glove. I was expecting it to be something hard to setup, but perhaps it will be easier than i thought. Just have to get a camera case for the gopro that allows external mic connection.

I have my mic inside my helmet, covered with sponge from an old set of headphones that I was about to throw away. Just some thin sponge.
