Bluetooth Audio on Insta360 One X2 from Cardo Packtalk Bold?

Has anyone done this?

I recently learned this could be done by pairing your packtalk with the Insta 360 earpods function, I gave it a go on Monday but the audio didn't come out at all, I only get the odd squeal every now and then but no other audio.

Looking to see if others have done this and what results they got.?

I believe @PhilTonic wrote about this, in one of the threads, that he was able to get some intercoms to record audio in to insta cameras, but packtalk was problematic for him too. Hopefully he spots this, and can comment, if he managed to get it working.

I've not I'm afraid, that does sound like it would be a super handy feature if you could sort it though! :)
Yeah it would, my thoughts behind it were that I'm in the market for a new helmet cam set up as I keep having issues with my gopro hero 8 these days, If i could get this to work reliably then I may consider the insta 360 one RS as my next camera and just pair it with my packtalk for audio since I pretty much have the packtalk on constantly when I'm riding anyway so would save some wires...

Hopefully he chimes in on this, I'll see if I can find his post on the subject and may drop him a pm with a link to this thread and ask him to jump in with any info results he's had, seems like it would be a good solution if it works ok...

Found @PhilTonic posts on this subject and it seems more faf than its worth what with audio needing to be resynced etc thats if I can even get the packtalk to work, I'll play with it some more but looks likely I'll be sticking to the lav mic set up, so now just to decide on which camera to buy, likely be a gopro 10 me thinks, unless my 8 stops playing up, which give it its due I just done a 5 day trip and had no issues with it, first time in a long time i've had no issues with the 8 which has been a rock solid camera up until 3 or 4 months ago when every ride it started having issues, either freezing up or corrupted files...

Maybe it is your memory card that is breaking down rather than the camera?
I thought the same so bought new Sandisk cards and still having issues, cant remember exact card specs but they were the top spec'd ones, Like I say I had no issues on a recent 5 day trip with the gopro running near constantly but that's the first time in several months I've had no issues with it.

Kind of off-topic, but whenever my GoPros start acting up, I make sure I've downloaded all the footage and then I reformat the SD card in-camera, and then do a Factory Reset. That seems to clear them up and then they'll work fine for a good long while.

Pairing the X2 with a Spirit HD works. Resynching audio takes 10 seconds when you start editing a video. Problem solved.

There is no easier method getting rid of cables and having a fully waterproof vlogging setup.

Bonus info:
If you are anxious about having to reconnect the Spirit everytime you feel like pressing record instead of recording all the time. The X2 has 3 hours standby time and voice commands. Just say "Start recording", "Stop recording". Hands free.

To me, it's a godlike setup.

Very interesting! Do the voice commands have to be standalone, or if you say, "so then I told it to stop recording" will it stop recording? That's the problem I had with GoPro - any time you said anything close to "GoPro Stop Recording" it would stop recording, and I lost a few videos before I turned THAT feature off!

I have had so much trouble with X2 remote, I gave up on using it. That also uses bluetooth connection.

Haven't even thought about that. I'm speaking German, so I don't run into that problem. But worth testing definitely.

This does sound like a good set up, unfortunately I'm not really in the market for a new comms unit just yet, I have 4 pack talks as use them with family when out on off-roading on our ATV's and SxS's so could get expensive if I have to replace them all, could just upgrade 2 of them I suppose for my wife and I for when we go 2 up touring but still an expense I wasn't planning on

Will be giving it some thought though, thanks for your input.
