Reminds me of my days in the Military Police where we had to be creased and mirror polished boots at first formation then immediately head for the muddiest area for the day's fun to begin.
Sounds about right! :D

@HippoDrone I will not paint it myself. I am no good with painting stuff. I know that from my pubescent vandal days. I will definitely make a video when I get it back in the spring, but as it is taken in to parts and in a workshop, where I usually keep it over winter, I will not be filming there. The painting is more of a necessity, because there is some rust here and there. But as long as it will be painted, I thought to choose a bit different, darker tones, that are more to my liking.

Today was bloomin awesome, I popped up to Buckingham Palace in London, waved at the Queen who was celebrating 100 years of the RAF with a fly past from some pretty cool stuff (vid rendering, hope I can get it posted today).
I literally had goose-bumps as some of the aircraft flew overhead. Here are a few of the photos I took whilst up there:

Just got back from the workshop, that's going to paint my bike, to give the last confirmation about the paint. I have been so busy and they have been so busy, it has been touch getting the time to meet up with the painter. But now I did. I feel confident I chose the right colors and I celebrated by stocking my freezer with ice cream. It's really chilly today, so ideal time to transport ice cream, without it melting before I get home.
The one at the back is mine, with the current color. The one in front is a test piece, painted with the sample colors I gave them. The design on the test piece is not important, the overall design is going to be very similar with what the bike had till now.

@Theodor I don't want to spoil the spoiler so I will be vague in this question. Is that gray colored pattern a flying creature one might find either in a collection or on a colorful item in the yard?

I think I see something just off center of the stripe.

@R-Rated There is indeed a under lacquer sticker of a butterfly on the test piece, but that was not for my color purposes. Just the painter was also testing something out for himself. The red and ivory combination is what will be replacing my red and white. As mentioned in the previous post, overall design will be very similar. Some minor differences in how the layout will be on the tank and on the bags.

I did a few things. Upgraded a couple tail lights to a flashing LED unit at $7/ea. Not bad!

Y'all already know where to learn more about them.

In other (not really) exciting news, I upgraded from a Mini SE Fly More Combo to a Mini 2 Fly More Combo for basically $16.

I'll try to make this short...

Found a shop selling a Mini 2 Fly More Combo, open box, for $450 CAD, CASH.
I listed my Mini SE Fly More Combo, 6 months old, for $450 CAD, CASH, on a different platform.
Someone who lives in a remote-ish place saw it, offered to e-transfer me $450 provided I ship it to him.
Shipping cost $26, but I was selling my Mini SE for $10 more than I bought it for, so I was only out $16.
RAN to the shop, tested the Mini 2, everything was perfect.
Deposited the guy's money, paid the shop, took the 2, shipped the SE.

The upgrade cost me $16 and about 1.5 to 2 hours of running around.

Fitted some Double Take mirrors, a screen wind deflector, my Garmin Zumo + hard wired it, and an extra mount for my Garmin Montana so I can do road nav on the Zumo, trail nav on the Montana all to my Aprilia Tuareg 660

It has been a busy hour at the compound. This is a clip the fourth flyover of three Apache Helicopters.

Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone ;)

A friend of mine used to fly Apache helicopters for the US Army, she was a proper badass lass! :)

I took few days off work. Because I still don't have my bike back, I rented a car to roam around. Went to couple of nice lakes. Caught my first legal size pike just couple of days ago, which was delicious. Today I was checking out another lake and got a bit of a surprise from my navigation.

Good thing I didn't trust it blindly, entering the drop wrc style. Would have had lot of explaining to do, at the rental agency :p
